We recently designed and installed a show home for an exclusive development in the up and coming borough of Chigwell, on the border of Epping Forest. Located within just a few miles of London, the Chigwell show home was targeted towards young professionals who were looking to settle down in this beautiful and vibrant part of the country.
The show home was an open plan, ground floor flat with two large bedrooms. The living area and kitchen were long and rectangular, and included space for a dining area. The living area also featured patio doors out onto the garden, bringing lots of natural light into the space.
The clients wanted the show home to be modern and clean in design, appealing to their young target market. They wanted the colours to be clean and fresh, with chrome finishes and a light feel to the interior.
The Interior Design
We chose a colour palette of blues, turquoise and silver to use throughout the property, keeping it light and airy. Mirrored furniture in the living room reflected all that lovely natural light from the patio doors, while Louis Ghost Chairs in the dining area maintained that flow throughout the long, rectangular room. The master bedroom kept a similar colour scheme, with crystal light fittings and white voile curtains. We dressed the second bedroom as a child’s room, to show how the property can easily accommodate a little one (or two!). This had a soft pink scheme, but still maintained a light feel with watercolour artwork and elegant bed canopies.
