We’re proud to announce that this contemporary apartment in Romford, Essex has been nominated for a show home award! The two bedroom flat was a fantastic opportunity for young professionals or first time buyers, and we loved working on this Essex Show Home.
The Layout
The rooms were spacious and open, with an open plan living area/dining room that would be perfect for entertaining. Both bedrooms were generously sized and featured large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The kitchen was compact but with plenty of worktop space, and even included a large fridge/freezer, oven and washing machine. For an apartment, you couldn’t ask for something more perfectly proportioned.
The Brief
The Essex show home was to be targeted towards the young professional/first time buyer market, so the interior design needed to be modern, sleek and on trend. A neutral colour scheme was preferred, that would be carried throughout all rooms in the property.
The Interior Design
For this Essex Show Home, we went for a subtle mix of mustard and grey, accented with geometric patterns. Grey gloss and glass furniture was modern and sleek, and didn’t impose on the space inside the apartment. A large rug was a focus point in the living room, tying together the geometric shapes and mustard colours used throughout the design. Contemporary artwork and large glass mirrors were used on the wall, giving the show home a stylish feel. These included abstract shapes and urban cityscapes to compliment the colour scheme. Other design highlights included Louis Ghost Chairs, which let in that beautiful natural light while maintaining a modern look. Voile curtains in the main bedroom allowed us to make the most of those fantastic windows, which bathed the rooms in sunlight, making all those mustard yellow accents really pop.
